Job summary

Bertrandt Sweden is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Manager within Mechanical Engineering to own and grow a customer portfolio, recruit and develop engineering teams, and sponsor Outcome Based Services engagements. You will lead commercial negotiations, manage RFQs, and build long-term client relationships.

The role combines sales, people leadership, recruitment responsibility, and cross-group leverage within the Bertrandt Group, offering ownership and impact across projects and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven track record in business development and customer management.
• Experience in leadership, project environments, or engineering organizations.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Owns full commercial ownership of assigned customer accounts and drives both Traditional Engineering Services and Outcome Based Services opportunities.
• Lead customer development, build engineering teams, recruit, and ensure successful engagement execution.
• Provide line management and coaching for engineering consultants; drive recruitment and competence development.
• Forecast hiring needs and define competency requirements; build sustainable pipelines for future growth.
