Job summary

ALTEN is growing and looking for an engaged Mechanical design engineer to join our team in Sweden. You will work with the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems, from design to implementation, and play a key role in driving our projects forward.

You will develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and drawings, design components, manage structures in PLM/PDM, collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers for manufacturability, and support verification and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design within industrial or technology-driven environments.
• Strong knowledge of at least one advanced CAD system (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, NX CAD).
• Ability to work in structured development processes with high quality standards.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Design mechanical components and subsystems for complex industrial products.
• Work within PLM/PDM environments to manage product structures and change processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability.
• Support verification, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
