Job summary

Sulzer in Mariestad, Sweden seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for Nordic Water products. You will adapt products and machines within customer projects, produce complete BOMs and drawing packages, and deliver project-specific, quality-assured designs.

You will collaborate with management, purchasing, aftermarket, and sales in an international team across Sweden and India. Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree, stainless steel sheet metal design experience, 3D CAD proficiency, CE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience designing stainless steel sheet metal constructions.
• Experience with mechanical strength calculations.
• Very good knowledge of 3D CAD.
• Experience with CE marking and documentation.
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing sheet metal constructions, including bending, welding, and laser cutting.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Adapt products and machines in customer projects, including combining machines for project-specific solutions.
• Maintain and update manufacturing and technical documentation; deliver BOM and drawing packages.
• Develop functional, documented, and quality-assured project-specific solutions.
• Collaborate with project management, purchasing, aftermarket, and sales; handle technical inquiries.
• Work in an international team with colleagues in Sweden and India; use Inventor/Vault and Pyramid ERP.
• Improve processes, routines, tools, and costs; ensure quality enhancements.
