Overview

JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Helsingborg, Sweden, where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed, built, and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs don’t stay on a screen — they become real machines on the shop floor. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of around 35 engineers, working closely with production, testing, and suppliers. If you enjoy customer-specific design, technical problem-solving, and taking ownership of your projects, this is an environment where you can grow and make a tangible impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects
• Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers
• Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams
• Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally
• Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions

Experience & Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred)
• Experience working in a production- or project-oriented engineering environment
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage
