Job summary

Scania Group is seeking a hands-on engineering student to work on a Battery Management System (BMS) prototype for a 24V lithium-ion system. The role focuses on practical development, testing, and verification within TRATON Group’s battery initiatives.

You will evaluate current SoC and SoH estimation methods, verify BMU/EMS software compatibility, and propose improvements to support future 24V battery applications. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and 24V systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, including scripting.
• Basic understanding of CAN communication and CANalyzer.
• Interest in battery technology and energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Develop a functional hardware setup for a 24V BMS prototype.
• Collect and analyze existing SoC and SoH estimation methods.
• Verify compatibility of BMU/EMS software with 24V architecture.
• Identify software improvements for 24V battery applications.
• Benchmark SoC/SoH estimation techniques across industry.
