Job summary

Axis Communications AB in Lund seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to oversee a contract manufacturer's quality, drive improvements, and guide projects from concept to production. You will work closely with engineers and partners to ensure high quality and robust processes across the manufacturing supply chain.

The role emphasizes hands-on quality methods, collaboration, and knowledge transfer, with travel to manufacturing sites about 25 days per year. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with quality methods and tools (PPAP, Control Plan, 8D, RCA, FMEA, Six Sigma).
• Genuine interest in quality, risk mitigation and continuous improvements.
• Analytical with ability to write clear instructions and processes.
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and delivering training internally and externally.
• Keeps up-to-date with developments in the field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement activities with contract manufacturers.
• Participate in concept studies and early projects to source better solutions for products.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturers to optimize manufacturing setups.
• Support manufacturing partners in technologies needed for products.
• Provide third-line support to Product Specialists and aftermarket.
