Job summary

Axis Communications in Lund is seeking two Design for Production Engineers to join our Industrialization Production and Test teams. Entry-level and experienced applicants are welcome.

You will work on design for assembly, define production processes with partners worldwide, and travel up to 30 days per year to verify production. A degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and strong English are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• Demonstrated interest in production.
• Proficient English.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Initiate workshops and discussions centered around design for assembly.
• Define the product’s assembly process and production process with manufacturing partners in North America, Asia, or Europe.
• Set design requirements for complex assembly and test fixtures.
• Verify fixtures and secure their timely delivery to manufacturing partners.
• Visit product manufacturing sites during pre-production builds to verify the production process (up to 30 days of travel per year).
