Beyond Gravity Sweden AB in Linköping is seeking a Manager Verification & Test to lead a 12‑person team within the Engineering department. The role blends leadership with hands‑on verification work and may involve travel on customer assignments.

You will own the Verification & Test processes, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and collaborate across sections to ensure high quality test outcomes for rocket structures and payload interfaces.

Qualifications

Have you ever wondered what it’s like at the launch sites of the world’s biggest rockets? This role combines leadership with hands-on work and offers opportunities to travel on customer assignments.

The Verification & Test section is made up of a diverse team of 12 specialists with expertise in mechanical testing, electrical design, customer support, and training. The team collaborates closely, supports one another, and shares knowledge across the section. Many team members travel on customer support assignments throughout the year.

The Verification & Test section is part of the Engineering department at BU Launcher Separation Systems. The key products are structures that attach the payload to the rocket and separate it in space with high precision. The engineering department is responsible for design, verification, and test of the systems, and comprises six sections within Design-, Analysis- & Systems Engineering, Material & Process, Research & Development and Verification & Test. We work across the product life cycle from early sketches to pre-launch support. Customers include both new and old space actors and large space industry companies.

You will report directly to the Director of Engineering and be part of the Engineering leadership team where collaboration across sections and disciplines ensures the department's success.

Your mission

• Responsible for Verification & Test activities with proactive collaboration with adjacent Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Provide expertise to development and production regarding test, verification, and integration.
• Develop competencies within the teams and drive innovation and continuous improvement (know-how, tools, methods).
• Develop and implement engineering processes within Verification and Test and ensure alignment.
• Participate in and contribute to strategic work within the engineering department.
• Manage direct reports with HR responsibilities such as competence planning, recruitment, performance management, and development.
• Be part of the engineering leadership team with shared accountability for the department's success.
• Own budget responsibility for the Verification & Test section.
• Hold technical responsibility for project tasks and overall team efficiency.
• Proactively communicate and align with adjacent Engineering sections for best practices and synergies.
• Lead and develop the team in line with company values and business strategy to create engagement and a positive work environment.
• Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Your story
