Your crew
The engineering team in Linköping consists of around 90 people and works in an international environment, collaborating closely with customers and other Beyond Gravity sites across Europe and the USA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support electrical designs for harnesses, firmware, and test systems, considering cost, mass, integration, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and specialists to ensure alignment of electrical designs with system and project requirements.
- Apply core electrical engineering knowledge, including EMC, harness routing, mechanical integration, and space application standards, using CAD tools for design and component selection.
- Define, perform, and support electrical testing and validation activities, including test hardware design, drawing reviews, and requirement traceability.
- Translate system requirements into electrical subsystem specifications and prepare compliance matrices and verification documentation.
- Participate in technical reviews, supplier interactions, and audits, contributing to design validation and compliance assessments.
- Support production and quality processes, including non‑conformance resolution, root cause analysis, First Article Inspection (FAI), and operator guidance.
- Maintain and communicate technical documentation and project status, ensuring traceability and clear reporting to stakeholders.
- Contribute to requirement management, risk identification, task tracking, and budget awareness, escalating issues as needed.
- Apply structured problem‑solving and critical thinking to make informed technical decisions balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
- Support bidding, proposals, and engineering change processes (ECP/CCN), while contributing to product development, continuous improvement, and team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications – Musts
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Aerospace, Electrical or other engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in aerospace or equivalent industry.
- Proven experience in electrical design and harness routing; experience in Altium Designer and/or other PCB layout generation tools.
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks.
Nice to have
- Experience in the space industry with electrical components.
- Experience with microelectronics, programming of microprocessors, and LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
