Job summary

HCLTech Sweden is hiring for a Mainframe Application Operation, DBA – DB2 and DL1. The role is based in a hybrid Stockholm/Gothenburg setup, Sweden, with two days of travel to the office.

You will be part of a global team delivering mainframe operations and supporting critical applications. Responsibilities include DB2/IMS administration, run-time tasks, incident resolution, and ensuring maximum availability for our customers.

Qualifications

• Db2 database administration experience for z/OS.
• 24/7 on-call support availability on a shift basis.
• Good knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Fluency in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Application DB2 DBA: Db2 commands, backup/recovery, schedules and maintenance.
• Db2 performance tuning and monitoring; data sharing and reorg tasks.
• Db2 UTS/non-UTS tablespaces; unload/reload; version upgrades.
• IMS (DL1) DBA: IMS Full Function/ HALDB/ Fastpath management.
• Restore, Reorg, Load IMS DB; JCL; CA utilities; dynamic allocation.
• IMS high-performance utilities and dumps; backups and recoveries.
• Handle incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and 24/7 on-call support.

Job summary:

Mainframe Application Operation Management of a leading tech company has a global setup with members from Sweden and India to operate the Application Operation Management environment for all our Mainframe global Customers.

We are handling the application operation task to handle increasing business in our area. The team works during working office hours and provides oncall support 24/7 on a regular basis.

You will become a member of our Swedish team, you will be assigned to various tasks, both run-time and one time supporting shared services for our customer for technical activities related to your expertise.

Mainframe Application Operation Management is part of the Mainframe area within HCLTech, with technical teams alongside us in various areas.

We are responsible for the streamlining of the mainframe Application Operation Management, tools, work methods, follow up, guidance and participate in resolutions of Major Incidents in the area. Working with incident and problem solving to provide maximum availability for our customers and our mission is to give our Application Operation Management with the highest possible quality.

Our solutions give the Customer premium standardization and optimization of their internal and external high availability first environments.

Responsibilities

Application DB2 DBA:

• Db2 commands
• Db2 backup and recovery
• JCL
• Db2 UTS and non-UTS tablespaces
• CA tools for job scheduling and Db2 maintenance
• Db2 performance tuning and monitoring tools
• Db2 temporal tables for z/OS
• Performing Unload/reload of tables
• Supporting Version upgrades (pre and post change verification)
• Db2 reorgs and database maintenance
• Executing DML Queries/SQL for creation, optimization and maintenance of Db2
• Db2 backup and recovery
• Db2 data sharing
• ITIL
• Full Data Refresh of subsystems
• DB2 – Reorg and maintenance
• Restore of programs/phases from USER1/2/3

IMS (DL1) DBA:

• Experience with administration of IMS Full Function, HALDB, Fastpath databases.
• Good knowledge on Restore, Reorg, Load IMS DB.
