Job description

At Consilium Safety Group, we don’t just make technology — we create solutions that protect people, values, and the planet. As a global leader in fire and gas safety technology, we serve critical industries such as marine, energy, rolling stock, and critical infrastructure.

With more than 100 years of expertise, we combine deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge innovation to shape the future of Safety Tech. We are headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, with over 55 offices worldwide.

We are a fast-evolving global organization backed by a leading private equity firm, Antin Infrastructure Partners, continuing an ambitious journey of expansion and transformation. With strong financial support and a clear strategic vision, we are investing in innovation, operational excellence, and talent — the key drivers that will take us to the next level. A truly exciting time to join us.

As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to our growth story, working in an entrepreneurial environment where your ideas and impact truly matter. We combine the agility of a dynamic company with the discipline and long‑term perspective of an experienced investment partner — creating a platform for both business success and personal development.

The Role

As M&A Associate, you will play an important role in supporting Consilium Safety Group to realize an ambitious growth agenda over the coming years. You will help execute M&A transactions for acquisition targets across the globe and support Group Management in selected strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive end-to-end M&A activities, including target identification and screening, outreach preparation, deal analysis, due diligence coordination, valuation, and execution support.
  • Identify, source, and maintain the M&A pipeline, preparing briefing notes and building relationships together with the M&A team and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate due diligence workstreams with external advisors (commercial, financial, legal, tax, technical) and internal SMEs; manage data room hygiene and Q&A logs.
  • Develop high-quality materials for investment memos, Steering/Executive stakeholders, and the Board of Directors, translating analysis into clear recommendations.

This is fast‑paced, demanding, and intellectually stimulating work.

Your Profile

We look for candidates with the following:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Corporate Finance/M&A at a Boutique, Big4 (TS/M&A), Investment Bank, or M&A in a corporate development role.
  • Relevant experience in M&A, corporate strategy, transaction services, or related roles.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Outstanding financial analysis and modeling skills, with proficiency in building clear valuation cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different seniority levels.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.

The right person is a collaborative M&A professional who builds trust and strong relationships with a humble, down‑to‑earth approach. You will have strong analytical and strategic problem‑solving skills and an operational mindset, used to communicating and steering processes effectively. The role requires networking with acquisition prospects and other parts of the organization; frequent travel is expected.

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a global, PE‑backed organization in a pivotal growth phase, where your contributions have a direct impact. Work in an entrepreneurial environment with the resources of an established company, gain international exposure, and grow your career in M&A and corporate strategy.
