Nouryon in Gothenburg is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a 6-month parental leave cover. You will join our Logistics Team Road & Rail to plan, execute, monitor, and optimize road transportation, coordinating shipments and collaborating with carriers, Customer Service, Sales, and site logistics teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field, logistics operations experience, and fluency in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning, execution, and logistics processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions quickly.
  • Good understanding of the transportation and logistics market.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and report road transportation activities in line with service and cost targets.
  • Coordinate shipments and manage transportation exceptions, including re-routing and re-planning.
  • Ensure cooperation between carriers, customer service, sales, business planning, and site logistics teams.
  • Support carrier invoice handling, payment follow-up, and surcharge management.
  • Work daily in TMS to manage and optimize logistics flows.
  • Drive continuous improvements with logistics providers by following up on KPIs and performance.

About the job

Join a dynamic logistics team where no two days are alike. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation operations while collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

This is a parental leave coverage role for 6 months on a fulltime basis.

In your future role as Logistics Specialist you will

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and report road transportation activities in line with service and cost targets.
  • Coordinate shipments and manage transportation exceptions, including re-routing, re-planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure smooth cooperation between carriers, customer service, sales, business planning, and site logistics teams.
  • Support carrier invoice handling, payment follow-up, and surcharge management.
  • Work daily in transport management systems (TMS) to manage and optimize logistics flows.
  • Drive continuous improvements together with logistics providers by following up on KPIs and transportation performance.
We believe you bring
  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning, execution, and logistics processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and implement solutions.
  • Good understanding of the transportation and logistics market.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Great if you have
  • Experience working within the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of logistics-related systems such as SAP, TMS, or WMS.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other business management tools.
