Job summary

ABB Robotics in Västerås is strengthening its Trade Compliance leadership in Sweden. The role heads the Swedish Trade Compliance function, guiding customs, export controls, and sanctions while working with ABB’s global team to maintain integrity and regulatory excellence.

You will lead a small local team within the Supply Chain Management group, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on regulatory expertise to protect the business and enable compliant growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of hands-on Trade Compliance experience (customs, export control, sanctions).
• Deep expertise in regulatory advisory and compliance-driven decision making.
• Fluency in Swedish and English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead Swedish Trade Compliance across customs, export control and sanctions.
• Act as primary link between Swedish operation and ABB’s global Trade Compliance team; ensure alignment with global standards.
• Oversee permits, authorizations, and regulatory interactions; manage associated risks.
• Provide strategic guidance across export control, sanctions, customs compliance, country of origin, and risk-based decisions.
• Lead a team of ~5 direct reports and guide 3–5 colleagues as functional lead within the local Supply Chain Management team.
