Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a seasoned Trade Compliance Manager for Sweden, based in Västerås or Ludvika, with leadership to drive the Global Trade Management program. You will influence stakeholders, implement compliance guidance, and manage licensing and risk across imports/exports.

You will collaborate across Supply Chain, Legal, Finance and Engineering to ensure robust, compliant trade operations and alignment with global strategy.

Qualifications

• Degree in trade, law, economics, international relations/business or related field; EU/intl trade background preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and supply chain compliance.
• Fluency in Swedish and English; additional Nordic languages a plus.
• Experience engaging with the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) and export licensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead country-level execution of the Global Trade Management program in Sweden with global alignment.
• Build relationships with local management, Business Units, and ISP as a trusted advisor on export controls and sanctions.
• Ensure strong customs compliance across import/export activities and related documentation.
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear policies, procedures, and business guidance.
• Lead risk identification, issue management, and escalation for trade compliance matters.
• Manage trade compliance projects and SAP GTS tooling to optimize processes.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to embed trade compliance in daily operations.
• Support management in regulatory changes and mitigation plan follow-ups.
