Job summary

Snc-Lavalin is looking for a Senior Secondary Design Engineer based in Västerås, Sweden. This role involves leading secondary engineering activities for complex EHV/HV substation projects, working closely with civil designs, and coordinating interfaces within multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive substation engineering experience, a Bachelor's or Master's in electrical/mechanical engineering, and fluent proficiency in both Swedish and English. The position requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive substation engineering experience with local utilities.
• Knowledge of required legislative demands and standards.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead of secondary engineering activities.
• Provide information for civil designs and interface coordination.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for engineering budget, schedule, and risk management.
• Provide technical solutions for substations.
• Review vendor's solutions for compliance.
• Prepare bill of quantities and cost estimations.
• Review supplier’s designs and attend factory tests.
• Provide technical support to tender and project.

Fluent in Swedish and English
