Job summary

g2 Recruitment supports a leading international contractor in Sweden to hire an experienced HSE Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project. You will take ownership of Health, Safety and Environmental performance on a fast-paced, technically complex site.

Key duties include leading all HSE activities, ensuring Swedish regulatory compliance, developing and implementing policies, conducting inspections and training, and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HSE Manager on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience with Data Centre, Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Industrial or Major Infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6, Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of European and Swedish HSE regulations.
• Experience managing multiple contractors on live construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site Health, Safety & Environmental activities.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish HSE legislation and company standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances with corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training programmes.
• Support project management teams in risk identification and mitigation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across contractors and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior leadership.
