Job summary

Valmet in Gothenburg seeks two Lead Engineers, Pressure Vessels and Tanks, to lead customer delivery projects and coordinate the mechanical discipline across piping, structural, and process design teams. Travel to suppliers or customer sites may occur.

Ideal candidates hold a Masters or Bachelor's in Engineering with 10+ years in a similar industry, and excel in global collaboration and documenting drawings and supplier interfaces. Excellent English is required.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and supplier interaction.
• Experience in evaporationen plants or pulp and paper process areas.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the discipline team in delivery projects.
• Keep track and be responsible for the discipline budget.
• Prepare technical documentation for procurement and manufacturing of equipment by suppliers, project schedules, specs and drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and tanks.
• Follow up on the manufacturing process through drawing reviews and daily supplier communication.
• Support installation work on site or remotely as needed.
• Support pre-projects and sales work when needed.
• Contribute to development of work processes and continuous improvements.
• Occasionally travel to suppliers or customer sites during project execution.
