Job summary

Tata Technologies in Gothenburg is recruiting a Lead Engineer – Illumination & Power Outlet to lead development of interior components such as chargers and lighting systems, ensuring delivery on time and within cost and technical targets.

In this role you will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams across HW/SW, Display, USB, and overhead consoles, driving development in a fast-paced environment and shaping a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• +5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in project leadership / lead engineering roles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in hardware development.
• Experience in software development.
• Experience working in cross-functional automotive product development teams.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle within automotive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align cross-functional engineering activities to meet project timelines, technical requirements, and cost targets
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to drive development and ensure delivery expectations are met
• Work with internal stakeholders including Engineering Architects, Engineering Managers, and project teams
• Contribute to building a strong team-oriented culture across functions (HW, SW, testing)
• Manage multiple interfaces (internal and external), ensuring smooth communication and collaboration
• Support development activities across different competence areas based on business needs and personal expertise
• Contribute to continuous improvement, sharing best practices and supporting team development
