Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Development Lead to drive end-to-end technical development with a focus on frontend technologies. You will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable applications, and work closely with the Product Owner to align strategy with business needs.

You will champion modern engineering practices, including AI, CI/CD, and test automation, while ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years in software development and operations.
  • 2–5 years in software development within airline loyalty programs or similar domains.
  • Strong knowledge of the airline industry and airline technology.
  • Experience in a senior development lead or mentoring role.
  • Strong coding skills and knowledge of modern development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end technical development, with a primary focus on frontend technologies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of robust, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Define and maintain a long-term vision and roadmap for applications within the technology stack, in alignment with domain architecture.
  • Together with the Product Owner, align application strategy with business objectives, user needs, and evolving technology trends.
  • Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices including use of AI, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
  • Ensure all applications comply with relevant regulations, security policies, and industry standards.
  • Champion strong cybersecurity practices throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of critical systems.
  • Oversee and continuously improve application performance monitoring, observability, and alerting.
  • Participate hands-on in development to support teams in solving complex technical challenges.
  • Promote the use of modular, maintainable, and reusable code to increase development efficiency.
  • Elevate software quality by advocating best practices, conducting code reviews, and facilitating knowledge sharing.
  • Act as a coach and mentor for both offshore and onshore development teams, fostering collaboration and shared ownership.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence across the development community.
  • Ensure disciplined use of tooling to achieve effective communication, documentation, and traceability across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience within software development and operations.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in software development within airline loyalty programs or similar domains.
  • Good knowledge of the airline industry and airline technology.
  • Prior experience in a senior development lead or mentoring role.
  • Strong coding skills and knowledge of modern development tools and practices.
