Job summary

NKT is seeking a Lay Technician Supervisor to oversee offshore cable installation projects and manage the cable lay operations on vessels. You will coordinate technicians and work with offshore and onshore teams in a global environment.

Responsibilities include supervising loading, laying, and burial activities; monitoring carousels and tensioners; ensuring equipment readiness, enforcing safety procedures, and recording progress and incidents. Rotation offshore with the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising offshore cable laying teams.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams offshore/onshore.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and risk assessments in offshore operations.
• Familiarity with offshore vessel operations and cabling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lay technicians during cable loading, laying, and burial activities.
• Monitor and control cable lay equipment such as carousels and tensioners.
• Ensure maintenance, inspection, and readiness of equipment.
• Enforce safety procedures and participate in risk assessments.
• Maintain operational records and report progress and incidents.

Coordinatelaytechnicianteams andcableoperations offshore

AsLayTechnicianSupervisor,youareresponsibleformanagingdailyoffshorecableinstallationactivitiesandensuringproper operation andmaintenanceofcablelayanddeckequipment.Youcoordinatetechnicians, monitorequipmentperformance, ensureactivitiesareexecutedinlinewithproceduresand safetystandards. Theroleinvolvescollaborationwithvesselcrew,engineers, andprojectteams tomaintainconsistentandefficientoffshore operations.

Yourresponsibilitywillbe to:

Experiencedoffshore supervisormanagingcableinstallation teams

You are an organized and capable person who coordinates tasks in dynamic offshore environments, youcommunicateclearlywithteammembersandstakeholdersandmaintainfocus onsafetyandoperationalcontinuity.Youtakeinitiativewhenchallengesoccurand supportwell-structuredteamworkduringoffshoreactivities.

Youalsohave:

• Preferably a TechnicaldiplomaorvocationaltraininginEngineeringor MarineTechnology
• 5–10yearsofoffshoreexperienceincablelayingoperations
• Experiencewithcablehandling systemssuchascarouselsand tensioners
• KnowledgeofROV operations,subseaequipment, anddeckoperations
• Experiencesupervisingoffshoretechniciansandcoordinatingteams
