Job summary

Bosch Thermotechnology AB in Tranås seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive the HC-ES/XLM1 team, focusing on product development and strategic investments across the engineering laboratory and workshop. You will guide performance, ensure competence, and monitor KPI outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting expertise, and a proven track record in managing testing environments for heat pump technologies, with clear communication in English and Swedish.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable technical field.
• Proven experience in managing budgets and leading teams in a demanding laboratory and/or test field environment.
• Broad technical experience within a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience in testing heat pumps or similar systems.
• Expertise in strategic investment and project management (CAPEX).
• Distinct analytical skills and strategic thinking to grasp complex correlations and make well-founded decisions.
• High degree of initiative, assertiveness, and solution-orientation.
• Excellent communication, moderation, and team leadership skills, also in an international context.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish (written and spoken) are mandatory.
• Understanding of Swedish work environment responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide disciplinary and technical leadership of the HC-ES/XLM1 team.
• Lead and implement product development focus areas and strategy for HC-ES/XLM1.
• Set goals and coach team members for performance.
• Ensure competence levels and succession planning within the team.
• Monitor performance and contribute to salary setting and KPI reporting.
• Oversee lab facilities, safety rounds, and compliance with ISO standards.
• Manage budgets and investment planning for engineering laboratory and workshop.
• Plan and guide future year planning for investment projects.
• Track KPIs and report to management and stakeholders.
