Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Ludvika seeks an experienced Department Manager of Technology & Maintenance to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for technology, maintenance, facilities and infrastructure. You will balance daily operations with strategic development, driving improvements and investments to support the lab’s world-class status.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of operational change, and effective communication in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• Proven people management experience in industry, production, or maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate in a highly technical environment.
• Track record of driving operational change and continuous improvement.
• Structured, strategic mindset with pragmatic leadership and execution.
• Strong written and spoken communication in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team across technology, maintenance, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Ensure reliable day-to-day operations and future performance of critical equipment.
• Drive maintenance, improvement, and investment projects aligned with lab strategy.
• Identify needs and contribute to long-term development roadmap for the lab.
• Monitor department performance, budget, KPIs, and project progress with the management team.
• Foster collaboration, continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
