A leading medical university in Sweden is seeking a laboratory assistant to join their transplantation research team. This role will involve testing new therapies on various organs and analyzing the effects through advanced techniques. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Biology, a Masters in Biomedicine, and experience in transplant immunology, along with essential laboratory skills. This position is full-time for six months with a potential for permanency.

Our laboratory is part of the Division of Transplantation Surgery, which belongs to the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology at Karolinska Institutet. We focus on basic and translational transplantation research. We use organ perfusion technology to investigate the delivery of organ specific therapies and assess how these improve the quality of the organs as well as determining the immunological changes during machine perfusion of the organs. We are now looking for a laboratory assistant at 100% employment for a period of six months.
Your mission
As a laboratory assistant, you will be working on one of our research projects. The project includes the test of several new therapies on several organs (heart, lung, liver, and kidney). The effect of these therapies will be further analysed by transcriptomics and metabolomics as well as immunology assays.
Your profile
To be eligible for employment as a laboratory assistant, you must have a degree in Biology and have completed a Masters in Biomedicine and have previous experience in transplant immunology. You should also have:
