Job summary

Axis Communications is seeking a Kubernetes Specialist to shape and operate an on-premises Kubernetes platform in Lund. You’ll own networking, drive GitOps pipelines with FluxCD, Helm, and Kustomize, and partner with developers to improve reliability and security across the stack.

You have production Kubernetes experience, strong networking knowledge, and hands-on Linux/container skills. The role blends on-prem and cloud considerations with a focus on platform stability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Production Kubernetes experience with a solid grasp of its architecture and ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking concepts and technologies.
• Hands-on GitOps experience with FluxCD, Helm and Kustomize.
• Solid Linux administration and container tech skills (Docker, containerd).
• Experience with IaC and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
• Bonus: Cilium, eBPF, service mesh architectures, observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Axis' enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress/egress, policies, DNS).
• Drive GitOps workflows with FluxCD, Helm and Kustomize.

Our goal is to deliver compute resources through different platforms, by utilizing common ways of working and toolsets. This lets teams provision the infrastructure they need themselves, wherever they work.We act as a secure Platform-as-a-Service foundation, standardising solutions so that development teams can build on a stable, governed base, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Our expertise spans the full compute stack, from virtual machines and containers to cloud-native services, which makes us the team that helps everyone else move confidently into the cloud era.What you'll do here as Kubernetes SpecialistYou'll shape how our Kubernetes platform is designed, run and improved, with networking as your particular area of expertise. It's a role that's felt across the whole engineering organisation : when the platform is solid, everyone else moves faster.Design, build and maintain our enterprise-grade Kubernetes platformManage and optimise Kubernetes networking, including CNI technologies such as Cilium, ingress and egress traffic, service mesh solutions, network policies, load balancing and DNS integrationDrive and maintain our GitOps workflows using tools such as FluxCD , Helm and KustomizeBuild and maintain the CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code that support automated deploymentsMonitor the platform's health, performance and securityTroubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking and applicationsWork with our development teams to improve platform reliability, deployment processes and cloud-native practicesWho are we looking for?You enjoy solving complex networking problems, and you care about the people who use what you build.
