Job summary

Astek Sweden is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop, integrate and troubleshoot systems where software meets hardware, primarily in Linux environments. You will work with Bash scripting and C++ development to ensure reliable operation from the lowest hardware level up.

Responsibilities include developing Linux functions, writing C++ and Bash for automation, and integrating software on target hardware while troubleshooting hardware-software boundary issues.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field.
• at least 2 years of experience as a systems engineer or system administrator
• Strong experience with Linux, including configuration, troubleshooting and system-level work
• Experience programming in C++ and scripting in Bash
• Good understanding of low-level hardware, such as interfaces, drivers and how hardware and software interact.
• Fluent in Swedish and English

Job description

We are looking for a Systems Engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware. You will develop, integrate and troubleshoot systems where software meets hardware, mainly in Linux environments. You will work with Bash scripting and C++ development, and help make sure the system runs reliably from the lowest hardware level and up.

Qualifications

• Experience from defence, automotive or other safety-critical industries.
