Job description

For over 40 years, Sigicom has been developing advanced instrumentation for the measurement industry. With deep expertise in complex product development for demanding environments, Sigicom has become a global leader in environmental measurement systems. By combining innovative technology with close customer collaboration, Sigicom delivers reliable, high-quality solutions to projects worldwide.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Sigicom operates internationally, with offices in Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Netherlands.

We are now looking for a Junior Product Manager to join the Product Management team at our HQ in Älvsjö. The team manages several product areas—including hardware, software, Geo and business processes—and is responsible for developing and maintaining a relevant, competitive and commercially viable product portfolio. The Junior Product Manager will support the team across these areas and contribute wherever needed, depending on current priorities and business requirements.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced colleagues and contribute throughout the product lifecycle—from customer and opportunity assessment to development priorities, launch preparation, performance follow-up and phase-out.

Operating at the intersection of customers, Sales, technology and operations, you will help ensure that Sigicom continues to develop reliable solutions that create measurable customer value and keep us at the forefront of environmental monitoring technology.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of product visions, positioning, priorities and roadmaps in line with Sigicom's strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Contribute to managing assigned products throughout their lifecycle, including introduction, growth, improvement, replacement and phase-out.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer workflows, challenges and purchasing criteria across Sigicom's international markets.
  • Participate in customer meetings, interviews and site visits to understand how customers use Sigicom's products and uncover the underlying needs behind their requests.
  • Help identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities based on customer insight, market developments, competition and technology trends.
  • Gather and structure information for business cases and evidence-based recommendations regarding product priorities, roadmap decisions, investments and lifecycle actions.
  • Assess opportunities by considering customer value, commercial potential, strategic fit, technical feasibility, risk, development effort and lifecycle cost.
  • Translate customer and market insights into clear product requirements, value propositions and priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing.
  • Contribute to product positioning, pricing considerations, launch planning and internal training and enablement.
  • Support validation, risk assessment and launch readiness, including relevant quality, regulatory, cybersecurity and sustainability considerations.
  • Follow assigned activities through to completion and contribute to product performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

You are not expected to master all these areas from day one. They provide an indication of how the role and your responsibilities will develop as you grow into the position.

The Profile
  • A relevant university degree in engineering, technology, product development or a comparable field is desirable.
  • Some experience from Engineering, Product Development, Validation, Technical Support, Service or another technology-related environment.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technically complex products and systems.
  • A genuine interest in Product Management, customer needs and the commercial aspects of technology.
  • Experience in customer-facing work, Product Management, Product Ownership or business development is advantageous but not required.
  • Customer-oriented and curious, with a desire to understand the underlying problem rather than simply respond to a stated request.
  • Analytical and structured, with the ability to break complex matters down into clear problems, options and priorities.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and accountable, with the ability to take ownership and follow matters through.
  • Experience in international or cross-functional collaboration is an advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Swedish.

For a junior engineer moving into Product Management, potential is more important than formal Product Management experience. Curiosity, judgement, communication and structured thinking are therefore prioritised over previous responsibility for formal product processes or roadmaps.
