Job summary

Nordic Cyber Group (NCG) in Stockholm is seeking a Junior Information Security & IT Project Consultant to support senior consultants across information security, IT governance, risk, compliance, and project delivery.

You will coordinate workshops, interviews and follow-ups, map processes, perform risk assessments, maintain project plans, trackers and status reports, and prepare presentations and client deliverables while building hands-on skills in Excel, data reporting and security controls.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of professional experience in a corporate, consultancy, or startup environment.
• Background or degree in IT, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering, business technology or related field preferable.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and think critically without overreliance on AI tools.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
• Interest in information security, IT risk, governance, or project management.
• Willingness to upskill and pursue relevant certifications.
• Availability to start immediately or on short notice.
• Right to work in Sweden.

Responsibilities

Nordic Cyber Group (NCG) is a fast-growing cybersecurity consulting firm specializing in Identity Security, Digital Compliance, and Digital Fraud and Financial Crime.

We are looking for a Junior Information Security & IT Project Consultant with strong drive, good analytical skills, and a willingness to learn.

About the Role

You will support senior consultants and project leads across information security, IT, governance, risk, compliance, and project delivery.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Supporting information security, IT, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives
• Coordinating workshops, interviews, meetings, and follow-ups
• Supporting process mapping, risk assessments, control reviews, and documentation
• Maintaining project plans, trackers, action logs, and status reporting
• Preparing presentations, analyses, reports, and other client deliverables
• Working with data and reporting in Excel
• Supporting assessments against standards, regulations, and industry best practices
• Taking ownership of smaller workstreams as you develop.

We're Looking for Someone Who Has
