Senior Material Europe is seeking a Junior Chemical Engineer to support development and optimization of chemical and process engineering solutions at our Eskilstuna site. You will work across design, documentation, equipment installation, commissioning and troubleshooting in a hands-on, cross-functional setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry or a related engineering field.
• 0–3 years of relevant industrial or engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of chemical/process engineering and industrial production.
• Familiarity with process equipment, piping, pumps, tanks, valves and instrumentation.
• The ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings.
• Ability to organise and maintain engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering/documentation systems.
• Good professional working proficiency in English and Chinese, written and spoken.
• Basic awareness of environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting chemical-system process design and optimization.
• Preparing and updating P&IDs, equipment lists and other technical documentation.
• Supporting equipment and piping installation and supplier/contractor follow-up.
• Assisting with commissioning, trial runs and troubleshooting.
• Supporting corrective actions, punch lists and technical follow-up.
• Preparing and maintaining as-built documentation and supporting engineering changes.
• Participating in site inspections and technical meetings.
• Supporting risk assessments and documentation related to SDS, CE, ATEX and PED.
• Following applicable environmental, occupational health and safety requirements and site procedures.
