Job summary

Ericsson is seeking SW Engineers for a Purpose Build RAN Layer 1 Software team in Stockholm to shape the next generation of mobile networks. You will learn Ericsson's design, implementation, testing and integration processes while tackling 5G/6G challenges alongside experienced developers.

You will work with C/C++ and Python, gaining exposure to AI-assisted tools, code reviews, and CI practices. Strong English communication and a passion for high-performance telecom systems are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Telecommunications or related discipline.
• Programming experience in C/C++ and Python.
• Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Experience using Python for data processing or ML in coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ericsson's Purpose Build RAN Layer 1 Baseband software.
• Develop a new generation of RAN SW (6G).
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools to support coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Learn how 5G/6G radio systems and physical layer processing work.
• Collaborate across global teams with software engineers, architects, and testers.
• Contribute to quality, test coverage, maintainability, and CI activities.
• Explore AI/ML-enabled features that may be implemented in the product.
• Grow technical skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.
