Job summary

Technicon Design is seeking a Junior Interior Component Designer in Gothenburg to join the interior design team. You will design and develop high-quality automotive interior components from concept to production, translating creative intent into manufacturable solutions with ergonomic focus.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, UX, and manufacturing teams to ensure the cabin environment is cohesive, tactile, and emotionally engaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering production-ready interior component designs.
• Strong sketching, rendering, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in Alias, Blender, Photoshop, and VRED.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality automotive interior components from concept to production.
• Translate design intent into detailed, manufacturable solutions.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, UX, and manufacturing teams.
• Create sketches, visualisations, and presentations to communicate design ideas.
• Support development of innovative interior experiences through component design.
• Ensure designs meet ergonomic, aesthetic, functional, and manufacturing requirements.
• Contribute to selection and application of materials, finishes, and technologies.
