Job summary

Technicon Design is seeking a Junior Interior Component Designer in Gothenburg to join the interior design team. You will design and develop high-quality automotive interior components from concept to production, translating creative intent into manufacturable solutions with ergonomic focus.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, UX, and manufacturing teams to ensure the cabin environment is cohesive, tactile, and emotionally engaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering production-ready interior component designs.
• Strong sketching, rendering, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in Alias, Blender, Photoshop, and VRED.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating tactile, visually refined, and production-feasible interior components that contribute to a cohesive and emotionally engaging cabin environment.

Working at the intersection of design, engineering, and user experience, you will translate design intent into detailed, production-ready solutions, ensuring every component reflects progressive, human-centric design principles.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Alias, Blender, Photoshop, and VRED.
• Understanding of ergonomics, materials, manufacturing processes, and automotive design principles.
• Ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, quality, and production feasibility.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
