Job summary

Sii Sweden is seeking Java Developers to join exciting projects across industries, especially in finance, banking, and other regulated environments. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions based on Java and Spring Boot, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure software.

You will work on REST APIs, microservices, databases, and CI/CD, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to long-term maintainability while clearly communicating

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of clean code and modern development practices.
• Experience with Git and working in agile development teams.
• Fluent Swedish and English.

Sii Sweden is looking for Java Developers to join us on exciting projects with customers across industries, especially within finance, banking, insurance, and other business-critical environments.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions and modern applications based on Java and Spring Boot. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to build reliable, secure, and high-quality software.

We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience from the finance industry or other regulated environments, where stability, security, and quality are key.

Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices in modern system landscapes
• Work with databases, SQL, and data-driven backend solutions
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, best practices, and long-term maintainability
• Support deployment, testing, monitoring, and CI/CD ways of working
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer requirements
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the team

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases
• Good understanding of software architecture, clean code, and modern development practices
• Experience with Git and working in agile development teams
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Structured, proactive way of working with strong ownership and delivery focus
• Fluent Swedish and English

Nice to have

• Background in the finance industry, banking, insurance, or another regulated environment is highly valued
• Previous work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Prior consulting work
