Job summary

Nasdaq is seeking a software engineer to maintain and evolve the Clearing technology platform in Stockholm. You will work across Java backend services, front‑end interfaces, DevOps tooling, and cloud infrastructure to support mission‑critical clearing and settlement systems.

You will join an agile team and contribute to designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions while maintaining system stability and quality. The role offers hybrid work with three days in the Stockholm office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Comfort with learning and working with large legacy production systems.
• Self-driven with structure and creativity, balancing innovation with reliability.
• Able to collaborate effectively in Agile teams with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Own analysis, troubleshooting, and enhancement of production systems powering critical clearing functions.
• Shape and improve the next‑generation Clearing System through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation.
• Conduct code and design reviews to improve quality, architecture, and best practices.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotations for incident resolution and high availability.
