Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Västerås is seeking an IT/OT Software Engineer to contribute to an IT/OT transformation team. You will help move from project to product by developing system solutions used in end customer projects and by enhancing services and solutions.

This role sits at the IT/OT intersection with room for innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. You will mentor colleagues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and Windows Server; transitioned to development.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in at least one language: PowerShell, C#, Python.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining new services/solutions to shorten project lead times.
• Providing support to colleagues on above solutions.
• Mentoring junior associates and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will be, as a team member, responsible for developing (and maintaining) new services/solutions to shorten project lead times.
• Giving support to colleagues regarding above mentioned solutions.
• Upon level of experience, mentoring junior associates and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Upon level of experience, actively contributing to identifying and capturing opportunities for improvement

Your background

• You have at least a university degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience from a comparable position
• The perfect candidate would be someone who has previously been working with infrastructure and/ou Windows Server who has transitioned to development.
• You have good knowledge in Microsoft Azure DevOps
• You are skilled in at least one of the following languages: MS PowerShell, C#, Python
• You have knowledge regarding IT Infrastructure and/ou Microsoft Windows Server OS
• You are used to work agile in accordance with the Scrum Framework.
