Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an IT/OT Engineer to join a transformation team in Sweden. You will help shift from project-centric to product-oriented work, developing scalable IT/OT system solutions used by project teams on customer projects.

You’ll work at the intersection of IT and OT to reduce lead times, improve operations, and enable smarter, more effective project delivery. The role offers opportunities for innovation and professional growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and other virtualization platforms (KVM, Xen, OpenStack).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions.
• Good self-management and ability to align work with team goals.
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell and/or Python; experience with Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new IT/OT services and solutions to shorten project lead times.
• Provide support to colleagues on the above solutions.
• Mentor junior associates and drive knowledge sharing as experience grows.
• Identify and capture opportunities for continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will be, as a team member, responsible for developing (and maintaining) new services/solutions to shorten project lead times.
• Giving support to colleagues regarding above mentioned solutions.
• Upon level of experience, mentoring junior associates and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Upon level of experience, actively contributing to identifying and capturing opportunities for improvement.

Your background

• You have at least a university degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a comparable position.
• You are skilled in VMware (vSphere, ESXi and vCenter), Hyper V, Storage and Windows Server.
• You have good knowledge in another virtualization platform; KVM, Xen, Open Stack etc.
• You have knowledge about Microsoft Azure and hybrid solutions cloud/on-prem.
• You have great self-management skills and can drive your work to align with team goals.
• You are comfortable scripting in PowerShell and/or Python and maybe done some automation in Ansible.
