Job description

Mycronic is a global high-tech company whose innovative solutions have been advancing electronics technology for over 40 years. Today we continue to grow and serve customers in an expanding variety of industries. What we do impacts the future of technology, and in turn, the way we live our lives tomorrow.

We’re looking for people to join our talented, motivated and friendly team on the cutting‑edge. Here, in an open, collaborative and flexible environment, you’ll work alongside leading industry experts and take on challenging projects that bring tomorrow’s electronics to life.

About the role

As IT Manager for the PCB Assembly Solutions (PA) division, you will play a key role in ensuring that the division's IT and Operational Technology (OT) capabilities effectively support business objectives across a global organization. While the division operates from multiple international sites, much of its leadership is based in Sweden, making this role central to driving collaboration between business and technology. This is a newly created role where you'll have the opportunity to develop the function, shape the role and play a key part in Mycronic's digital journey. Combining leadership with hands‑on application ownership, you'll work close to the business and have real influence on how digital solutions create value across the organization.

PCB Assembly Solutions develops and delivers advanced production solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry. The division provides market‑leading equipment, software and digital services that enable electronics manufacturers worldwide to assemble printed circuit boards with exceptional precision, quality and efficiency. Combining technical innovation with a strong focus on production, service and digitalisation, the division continues to shape the future of electronics manufacturing.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between the business and several internal IT‑functions and partners. You'll take ownership of the division's business‑critical applications, drive digital transformation initiatives and ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and cybersecurity requirements. This is an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands‑on collaboration in a truly international environment where you can make a significant impact on both technology and business. Your division consists of nearly 500 employees, around 150 of whom are based in Sweden. You will have two direct reports.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the division's IT and OT roadmap aligned with business priorities and corporate strategy
  • Drive digitalisation initiatives and identify continuous improvement opportunities across the organisation
  • Explore and implement AI‑driven solutions that create tangible business value through automation, improved analytics, decision support and optimised workflows
  • Own and manage key business applications such as SugarCRM, ServiceMax and MYPlace 2.0, including lifecycle management, upgrades and supplier coordination
  • Act as the primary IT representative for the division towards Business IT (PG), Corporate IT and internal IT/OT service providers
  • Manage external IT and OT suppliers in collaboration with IT Indirect Sourcing
  • Represent the division in Tool Steering Groups (TSGs) and lead the TSG‑CLM and collaborate closely with key business stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, cybersecurity requirements and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2
  • Maintain documentation, risk assessments and business continuity plans for division‑owned applications
  • Prepare and manage the annual IT/OT budget, including forecasting, cost follow‑up and investment planning
  • Lead and develop a small team of Application Managers and IT/OT Specialists while fostering a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement
Who are you?

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a pragmatic and business‑oriented mindset. You enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology, translating business needs into sustainable IT solutions while building strong relationships across an international organisation.

You are a confident leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to balance operational stability with innovation. You enjoy driving change, taking ownership and creating value through collaboration.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • About 4‑5 years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role, preferably within manufacturing or another industrial environment
  • A solid understanding of both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments
  • Experience working with CRM and Field Service Management platforms such as SugarCRM and ServiceMax
  • Experience managing vendors and working with multiple business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies or similar ways of working

It is considered an advantage if you also have experience working with cybersecurity frameworks, governance and compliance within complex international organisations.
