Job summary

Nordnet Bank AB is seeking a System Engineer to maintain and improve our on-prem storage, servers and backup infrastructure. You will focus on automation and virtualization to support fast-moving development teams and align with our cloud journey sharing knowledge with the Cloud Squad.

Ideal candidates have deep Linux and VMware experience, plus familiarity with GCP, Terraform, Python, SAN, Ansible and backup solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with virtualization (VMware) and Linux (expert level).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and IaC (Terraform).
• Programming in Python; SAN; Ansible; Backup knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-prem storage, servers and backup from hardware to OS.
• Automate and virtualise workloads; focus on automation and modernization.
• Collaborate with Cloud Squad on GCP and ensure systems are up and running.
• Provide on-call support as part of the team.

Your role

In your role as a system engineer within the team IT infrastructure, you will be responsible for continuously improving and maintaining our on-prem storage, servers and backup all the way from the hardware up to the operating system. Together with the team you will focus on automation and virtualisation to be able to handle the workloads. As a team we are forward leaning and always looking at new technologies to help us improve. Our experts within network will be your best friends and together you will ensure that our systems are always up and running and that our development teams can work at full speed. With Nordnet’s ongoing cloud journey, using Google Cloud Platform, you will also work closely together with our Cloud Squad to find synergies and with this have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge within this field.

The position includes on call duty.
