Job description

City: Solna

Challenges you will work on:

At SAS, change is constant, but disruption should not be. As Change Manager, you will ensure that changes to critical IT services are implemented in a structured, controlled, and predictable way, balancing innovation with operational stability.

You will own and continuously improve the IT Change Management process across SAS, helping teams deliver change with confidence while minimizing operational risk. Working closely with technical teams, service owners, and business stakeholders, you will strengthen the quality, predictability, and transparency of change activities across the organization.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end IT Change Management process, governance framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure production changes are properly documented, risk-assessed, tested, approved, scheduled, and communicated before implementation.
  • Lead and develop Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency CAB practices.
  • Coordinate the forward schedule of change and proactively manage dependencies, conflicts, and operational constraints.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, release, deployment, and vendor teams to improve quality change.
  • Ensure emergency changes follow an appropriate governance process while maintaining operational responsiveness.
  • Track change-related incidents, failed changes, and recurring quality issues, driving corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs, trends, and risk indicators related to change management.
  • Drive post-implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are translated into improved ways of working.
  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow workflows, automation, and data quality related to change management.
  • Promote a culture where governance enables safe and efficient delivery.
The Team

You will work closely with Service Owners, Application Owners, Infrastructure and Cloud teams, Cybersecurity specialists, Product and Development teams, and strategic technology partners across SAS. The role also involves collaboration with business stakeholders supporting critical airline operations, where effective change management is essential for maintaining stability and service quality. As SAS continues its digital transformation journey, this role offers the opportunity to strengthen operational excellence and help shape how technology changes are delivered across the organization.

To be successful we believe you have
  • Strong experience in IT Service Management and IT Change Management within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Change Enablement, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, and Configuration Management.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or a similar enterprise ITSM platform.
  • The ability to assess technical and operational risk and facilitate decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience from high-availability, mission-critical, or 24/7 operational environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience driving governance, process improvements, and operational excellence in a collaborative environment.
  • The ability to build trust, create alignment, and influence stakeholders across both technical and business teams.
  • A structured and proactive approach combined with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • ITIL certification, or equivalent practical experience, is considered an advantage.
