Job summary

Matters - Rebuilding Banking, based in Stockholm, seeks an iOS Engineer to own the native app experience where users view their money. You will write in Swift with a craft-focused mindset and attention to detail that shows when data is missing.

You’ll collaborate with backend and product to ship end-to-end features, with emphasis on offline behavior, Core Data, and thoughtful UX. This is an on-site role in our Stockholm office.

About the role

We're looking for an iOS Engineer to own the part people actually touch — the native app where someone finds out where they stand with their money. Native Swift, a bar for craft that doesn't move, and the kind of detail work that only shows up when it's missing. This is an on-site position in our Stockholm office.

What you'll work on

• Build and maintain features across budgeting, transactions, accounts and bank connections, in Swift.
• Make the app right when the network isn't. Core Data, local persistence, and offline behaviour that has to be correct, not nearly correct.
• Design and build the interface itself — type, motion, spacing, the details nobody names and everybody feels. How we make things is the proof of how we think.
• Work with backend and product to ship end to end.

What we're looking for

• Solid iOS experience with Swift.
• A good grasp of app architecture and local persistence — Core Data today — and how an app should behave when the network doesn't cooperate.
• An eye for UX and a refusal to ship anything that feels bad to use.
• We're iOS-first today, and that isn't the whole plan. If you've shipped Android or Kotlin, or want to, say so.
• Fintech experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• AI is a default tool here, not an experiment. We expect you to work the same way, with whatever models or tools you're most comfortable with.
