Job summary

Taalk is seeking an iOS engineer to take real ownership of the Taalk iOS app. You will ship features end-to-end and influence both product direction and engineering culture from day one.

You'll work closely with our small founding team in Stockholm, contributing to a product that connects people and redefines how we communicate, while shaping the platform with modern SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency and real-time tech.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production iOS apps in Swift.
• Experience with modern Swift Concurrency and SwiftUI in production.
• Hands-on experience with CallKit/PushKit, WebRTC/VoIP, or real-time messaging.
• Comfortable making architectural decisions and owning a codebase.

Job description

We're looking for an iOS engineer to take real ownership of the Taalk iOS app. You'll join early, ship features end-to-end, and have a direct hand in shaping both the product and the engineering culture. You'll work closely with our small founding team and have direct access to experienced entrepreneurs in the Stockholm tech ecosystem.

This is a full-time role based in Stockholm, we are looking for people either in Stockholm with an existing right to work in Sweden or able to relocate on short notice.

We are looking for a passionate, curious person who loves to solve problems, work independently and is excited about connecting people and improving the way we communicate.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience shipping production iOS apps in Swift
• Experience with modern Swift Concurrency and SwiftUI in production
• Hands‑on experience with at least one of: CallKit/PushKit, WebRTC/VoIP, or real‑time messaging
• Comfortable making architectural decisions and owning a codebase

It would be an added bonus if you have:

• GraphQL on iOS (Apollo or similar)
• Experience with Notification Service Extensions or Live Activities in production
• UI/UX sensibility - you care how the app feels, not just whether it works
• Anything else you're passionate about outside of code - we want to know
