Siemens Energy Finspång seeks a senior architect to design and govern secure Azure and hybrid cloud solutions, guiding a global team through modernization, integration, and lifecycle management. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Solution Design or senior infrastructure engineering roles preferably from a global environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and secure hybrid connectivity patterns.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, Active Directory, DNS, compute, storage and infrastructure security.

Responsibilities

  • Design and govern secure Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud solutions that support applications, ensuring scalability, resilience, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Develop architecture standards and reference patterns for cloud-native applications, integrations, APIs, data services, and hybrid workloads across Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Define secure connectivity, network, identity, and service communication architectures across Azure, enterprise platforms, external partner integrations, and business-critical systems.
  • Lead cloud and infrastructure architecture reviews and provide technical direction for modernization, migration, integration, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with application teams to develop architecture roadmaps and guide adoption of Azure-native services, automation, and modern cloud operating practices.
  • Ensure reliable integration between Azure services, business applications, databases, and enterprise infrastructure, enabling secure, high-performing operations.
  • Design solutions with high availability, disaster recovery, observability, and operational supportability as core architectural principles.
  • Serve as a trusted technical leader and escalation point for complex challenges, collaborating across infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, engineering, and business functions.

Your day combines architecture, engineering and hands-on technical leadership. You may review a hybrid connectivity design in the morning, guide a project team through a security or integration decision and later troubleshoot a production-critical service with global specialists. You create robust, supportable solutions across cloud and on-premises environments and help stakeholders make clear technical decisions without losing sight of operational reliability, cybersecurity and business value.


How You'll make an Impact


  • Design and govern secure Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud solutions that support engineering, supplier-facing, and operational applications, ensuring scalability, resilience, compliance, and business continuity.

  • Develop architecture standards and reference patterns for cloud-native applications, integrations, APIs, data services, and hybrid workloads across Azure and on-premises environments.

  • Define secure connectivity, network, identity, and service communication architectures across Azure, enterprise platforms, external partner integrations, and business-critical systems.

What you bring


  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Solution Design or senior infrastructure engineering roles preferably from a global environment.

  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and secure hybrid connectivity patterns.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise networking, firewalls, Active Directory, Domain Name System, compute, storage and infrastructure security.

  • Experience with PKI environments, digital certificates, identity and access management, and business-critical infrastructure services throughout their operational lifecycle.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to explain complex technical choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Professional English communication skills, Swedish, experience with manufacturing systems, operational technology, Oracle or SQL environments and infrastructure automation is advantageous.


About The Team

You will work within Digital Manufacturing & Operations alongside factory IT teams, cloud and infrastructure specialists, cybersecurity colleagues, application owners and external partners. The team delivers resilient and secure technology foundations for critical manufacturing and business services.


Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
