ValueOne AB is seeking an IT Sourcing Manager for an interim consulting assignment in Södertälje, Sweden. The role is hybrid—four days on-site and one day remote—starting asap for six months.

You will lead IT procurement strategies, manage complex supplier negotiations, and drive commercial outcomes across international stakeholders. You will apply your five-plus years of strategic sourcing experience in IT, build category strategies, and negotiate service models and pricing.

• Strong contract negotiations, including service models and cost analyses.

IT Sourcing Manager – Strategic IT Procurement

ValueOne is looking for an experienced IT Sourcing Manager for an interim consulting assignment with a client in Södertälje, Sweden. The assignment starts as soon as possible and will initially run for six months. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with four days per week on‑site and one day working remotely.

About the role

As an IT Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in developing and driving strategic sourcing activities within IT Procurement. Working closely with IT and business stakeholders, you will translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies, supplier solutions, and commercial agreements.

The role offers broad commercial responsibility, including managing complex sourcing processes, negotiations, and supplier relationships. You will operate in an international environment, collaborating with stakeholders across different business functions and contributing to the continuous development of procurement practices.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead strategic IT sourcing activities throughout the procurement lifecycle, from initial business requirements to finalized commercial agreements.
• Develop sourcing and category strategies balancing technology, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Manage RFx processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and sourcing recommendations.
• Develop and negotiate complex commercial agreements and business models, including service‑based agreements, transformation contracts, consumption‑based pricing, indexation, lifecycle costs, and risk‑sharing structures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across IT, procurement, and business functions.
• Analyze supplier markets, technology developments, and commercial trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Identify opportunities for procurement improvements, standardization, and cross‑organizational synergies.
• Prepare and present strategic recommendations and decision materials to senior stakeholders and decision‑making forums.

The specific IT sourcing categories and areas of responsibility will be determined based on your experience, expertise, and business needs.

Experience and competencies

We are looking for a commercially driven professional with at least five years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or a similar commercial role. You have experience in IT procurement or technology‑related sourcing and are comfortable managing complex commercial agreements while collaborating with stakeholders across different functions.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least five years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or a related commercial function.
• Experience in IT procurement or technology‑driven sourcing categories.
• Strong commercial and legal negotiation experience, including complex contracts, service models, and total cost of ownership (TCO) business cases.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, cross‑functional collaboration, and supplier relationship management.
• Experience preparing and presenting recommendations and decision materials to senior management.
• Strong understanding of commercial sourcing processes and strategic supplier management.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

A bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field is considered an advantage. Swedish language skills and experience with SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, Microsoft Power BI, or Microsoft Copilot are also advantageous.
