Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Architect to shape the target-state IAM architecture for global clients. You will own the roadmap, balance business needs with technical integrity, and guide cross-functional teams across delivery and advisory work.

The role requires strong leadership and deep IAM expertise in a client-facing setting. Based in Sweden with hybrid work, you will collaborate with security leaders and leverage design thinking to ensure scalable, secure identity

Qualifications

• Deep IAM experience with ownership of design decisions.
• Comfort leading client conversations at security/technology leadership level.
• Strong software architecture, integration patterns, and onboarding considerations.
• Breadth across cloud, enterprise integration, and directory services.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluent Swedish and English.

The role

You'll shape how large organisations design and run identity and access, owning the target architecture and the roadmap to reach it, and advising the security and technology leaders who depend on it. You'll weigh the trade-offs, lead the design across a programme, and guide the team building it. It's a client-facing role that combines the credibility to make the technical calls with the judgement to keep them tied to what the business actually needs. Increasingly that means helping clients adopt AI securely. As AI expands the range of identities that need governing — including machine and non-human ones — the quality of the foundational architecture matters more, not less. You'll work across sectors, bringing design thinking into organisations at different stages of that journey, building the kind of trusted relationships that clients come back to.

What You'll Do

• Own the target-state identity architecture for a client and the roadmap that gets them there, sequencing the work and defending the trade-offs.
• Advise senior client stakeholders, translating what the business needs into an identity solution they can commit to and that will stand up over time.
• Lead the design across a programme and guide the people delivering it.
• Identify the patterns and integration challenges that will shape whether the programme succeeds in practice, and help the team navigate them.
• Help shape new work, bringing design credibility into proposals as well as delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Depth in identity and access management, with a track record of owning design decisions and defending them. You can reason about how to build a capability an organisation can actually adopt, not just deploy or maintain a single product such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Ping or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Comfort across both the functional and technical sides of identity, and the stakeholder skill to lead a client conversation at the level of security and technology leadership.
• A solid grasp of software architecture, integration patterns, and application onboarding, and how they shape an identity design.
• Enough breadth in adjacent disciplines — cloud, enterprise integration, directory services — to design a solution that actually fits the client's technical context.
• Around 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluent Swedish and English.
• Based in Stockholm, Göteborg or Malmö, on a hybrid pattern.
• Comfortable working across sectors and adapting a design to each client's context.

Nice to have

• A relevant degree, ideally with a postgraduate qualification.
• Security or enterprise-architecture certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF).
• Design depth across more than one identity platform, or on enterprise-scale estates with demanding integration needs.
• Breadth beyond IAM into the wider security or cloud-architecture picture.
