Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden seeks a System Study Engineer to join the HVDC System Performance Department. You will contribute to large-scale HVDC projects and gain exposure to system studies through the entire project lifecycle.

You will perform studies and optimizations of dynamic performance, test control and protection systems, and collaborate with experts across disciplines in global sites. Strong English; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HVDC preferred) or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Power System Studies or recent graduates welcome.
• Familiar with PSCAD/EMTDC, PSSE, DIgSILENT, MATLAB, NETOMAC or ETAP.
• Fluent English; Swedish is a plus.
• Analytical, independent, and collaborative teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform system dynamic studies and optimizations for HVDC deliveries.
• Test control and protection systems in-house and at sites worldwide.
• Support sales during tendering and project orders.
• Collaborate with specialists across disciplines.
