Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. Ludvika, Sweden is seeking a Line Manager for System Performance Studies to lead a 15–20 person team focused on HVDC transmission performance, system studies, and interactions with AC networks.

You will drive recruitment, development, and strategic direction while ensuring compliance with regulations and company values. You will motivate and engage staff, plan staffing and budgets, and collaborate across the organization to advance HVDC projects and studies.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVDC technology or System Performance studies, and/or prior leadership roles such as Line Manager or Project Manager.
• Strong communication, social, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with employees and management.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the team through recruitment, training and development initiatives, and provide strategic direction and coordination.
• Contribute to the HVDC System Performance Management team and collaborate with other managers on system studies.
• Plan staffing for projects and adjust to business needs; plan short-term and long-term changes in team structure.
• Develop processes and tools within the team.
• Prepare annual budget and manage within resources and constraints.
• Participate in the full design process from technology development to tender work and final design in HVDC projects.
