Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Line Manager for HVDC Operations Planning & Controls in Västerås, Sweden. You will drive planning, monitoring, and execution for HVDC projects and functional deliveries, acting as the center of expertise for factory planning and controls.

You will lead a team, manage short- to mid-term operational priorities, and develop talent while aligning with department work instructions and standardized tools. Fluent English is required; Swedish language knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Structured with project management or manufacturing qualifications.
• Ability to plan factory time schedules and manage budgeted costs.
• Fluent in English; Swedish language knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fit-for-purpose discipline and department planning & assumptions across projects and tenders.
• Act as center of expertise for factory planning & controls within HVDC.
• Manage overall HVDC resource demand planning and prioritize decisions.
• Lead the team with focus on operational execution and tactical responsibilities.
• Oversee HR planning, selection, development and performance management.
• Implement department work instructions and align with common tools and systems.
• Conduct experience transfers and lessons learned sessions with portfolio reviews.
• Identify essential work activities for each discipline and ensure proper control systems.
