Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden, seeks a Line Manager for the HVDC Operations Planning & Controls team to lead planning, monitoring and execution across the project portfolio. The role focuses on ensuring detailed planning, budget adherence and timely delivery in a challenging HVDC environment.

You will drive resource demand planning, develop departmental procedures and mentor a team to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven leadership with a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach.
• Structured, flexible with strong project/manufacturing background.
• Fluent in English; Swedish knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fit-for-purpose discipline and detailed planning in projects and tenders across the portfolio.
• Act as the center of expertise for factory planning & controls within HVDC.
• Lead HVDC resource demand planning and prioritization decisions.
• Manage the team with focus on operational execution and tactical responsibilities.
• Implement department work instructions and align with common tools and processes.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and share lessons learned to improve delivery.
