Overview

Schibsted has some of the strongest media brands in the Nordics. Our video teams at VG and Aftonbladet are already leading the way in newsroom-driven, live, and socially distributed TV content, and now we’re ready to go further.

We’re looking for a Head of TV Operations to take our video production capabilities to the next level. In this new Nordic role, you’ll lead our operational video teams in Norway and Sweden and help shape the future of fast-paced, high-quality TV across platforms.

You’ll also play a key role in identifying synergies with TV4 in Sweden and MTV in Finland, newly acquired businesses that open up new opportunities for collaboration and innovation, though they’re not part of your direct remit.

We aim to fill this role as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop our TV Operations teams in Norway and Sweden (approx. 9 people, including 2 local Head of TV Ops)
  • Set the operational strategy for multi-brand video production, aligned with editorial and commercial goals
  • Drive collaboration, efficiency, and shared workflows across countries and brands
  • Modernise tools, systems and workflows in collaboration with technology teams and vendors
  • Act as the key link between TV Ops, Product Development and Editorial, ensuring our operations support creative ambitions
  • Manage budgets and investments in production infrastructure and resourcing
  • Explore and realise synergies with TV4 and MTV around capabilities, workflows, and innovation

You combine operational leadership, media production experience, and a collaborative mindset. You’re used to working with editorial, tech and business teams — and you can align perspectives without losing sight of delivery.
