About Us

Stegra is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. Head of Sales - Automotive

Stegra is looking for a Head of Sales for Automotive to join our Commercial team to lead a group of account managers dedicated to serving some of the most prominent players in the automotive industry.

This is a broad and high-exposure role—well suited for someone with deep knowledge of the automotive sector who is looking to expand their network and influence across a wide customer base. You’ll be working closely with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, contributing to both commercial strategy and long-term customer partnerships as we introduce sustainable steel products into a historically conventional market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute our sales strategy in the automotive sector
  • Build, manage, and coach a diverse team of account managers servicing key automotive clients
  • Develop and implement team-wide strategies to increase revenue, boost customer satisfaction, and drive operational efficiency
  • Engage in market intelligence activities focused on supply, demand, and pricing trends
  • Manage and lead strategic contract negotiations with customers
  • Represent Stegra at customer meetings and industry events—travel is extensive, and partial remote work is possible based on location
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment that requires strong prioritization, creativity, and collaboration

Location: Sweden, Germany or Netherlands

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience in a commercial role (sales or procurement) in the automotive market, with strategic-level contract negotiation exposure
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a commercial team

Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident negotiator with high professional integrity
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and coach team members
  • Driver’s license required
