Job summary

Restaurang-Basta-Falun-Ab in Sweden is seeking a Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen, uphold high food standards and foster a disciplined, energetic team. You will manage prep, service and daily operations, ensure hygiene and cost control, and work closely with the General Manager to drive restaurant performance.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in high-volume settings, can coach staff to clear standards, and leads by example with calm under pressure

Qualifications

• Has strong experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader.
• Is confident leading a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Understands food cost, stock control, ordering and kitchen profitability.
• Can train, coach and motivate a team with clear standards.
• Leads by example and stays calm under pressure.
• Takes pride in consistency, cleanliness and operational discipline.
• Believes great kitchens are built through teamwork, ownership and respect.

Responsibilities

• Leading the kitchen team through prep, service and daily operations.
• Delivering consistent food quality, presentation and kitchen standards.
• Coaching, training and developing chefs across all sections.
• Managing stock, ordering, waste and food cost with strong attention to detail.
• Ensuring hygiene, food safety and compliance standards are followed at all times.
• Working closely with the General Manager to support strong restaurant performance.
• Building a positive, hard-working kitchen culture based on teamwork and accountability.
